曾是教練殺手 魔獸力挺麥帥

再度於季後賽首輪止步後，休士頓火箭仍火速確定了總教練麥克海爾(Kevin McHale)的續留。對於這位具備經驗與總冠軍頭銜的名人堂球星兼主帥，火箭多名主力也都表示了力挺之意。其中球隊頭號得分手哈登(James Harden)就明白表示，「麥克海爾太適合我們了！」

本季火箭在找來天王中鋒霍華德(Dwight Howard)加盟後，外界都認為火箭的豪華陣容足以衝擊聯盟總冠軍頭銜，但最終的結果，仍難逃連續兩季於季後賽首輪遭淘汰。

對此，球隊總教練麥克海爾的執教方針也再度引起討論，但火箭高層仍迅速決定，將讓麥帥續掌球隊兵符。

火箭團隊上下對此也紛紛表達力挺之意，陣中幾名主力更是展現對麥克海爾的高度忠誠。

「大鬍子」哈登便表示，「這很棒，他(麥克海爾)非常適合我們，他有冠軍經驗，而且知道該怎麼拿到它。」

今夏合約即將成為自由球員的「高富帥」帕森斯(Chandler Parsons)則透露，「我熱愛替麥克海爾打球，我是力挺他的那一派選手，他在進攻端給予我們高度自主，事實上他也曾經歷我們經過的這一切，他能夠回來執掌兵符，對我來說絕對是件大事。」

而過往曾經是「教練殺手」的霍華德，同樣對麥克海爾展現了效忠態度，「麥克海爾是個很棒的談天對象，他瞭解比賽，他瞭解長人眼中看到，但後衛看不到的事情。」
